The purpose of this report is to find out how 3, 4-Methylendioxy Methamphetamine (MDMA), most commonly known as Ecstasy, effects the brain. Also to explore the effect on how it would affect a user’s day to day life (e.g. eating, sleeping, using the toilet).

If there were to be more people to take this drug the outcome would be devastating. Since the consumer’s vision start to become more blurred and if they tried to drive, and since they can berley see they could have a crash blocking up traffic and probity killing them self’s but could kill another person in the presses, another example would be the extreme aggressiveness they could flip at any time seriously harming an internist person or worse kill the person.

This report will explain the drug MDMA and what does this drug effect on the brain. And what this drug effects on the user’s day to day life. Also this would explain the production of this drug the chemical properties. As well as how MDMA enters the blood stream and how it affects origins in the body and the brain neuron transmitters. In addition, it will also explore a user’s day to day life.

Background

Raw materials of MDMA are Sassafras Oil, MeOH (methanol, wood alcohol), distilled water,         p-Benzoquinon, palladium(II)chloride (PdCl2), DCM (methylene chloride; dichloromethane, acetone, xylene, NaCl, NaHCO3 (baking soda), NaOH, HCl (hydrochloric acid, muriatic acid), magnesium sulfate, Nitro RC fuel, Aluminum foil, peanut and safflower oil, HgCl2 (mercuric chloride), sulfuric Acid and CaCl2 (Calcium chloride).
This is the proses of making MDMA.
1. Distillation: of Natural Oil to obtain pure Safrole
2. Rxn: Formaldehyde + Ammonium Chloride -> MethylAmine.HCl (MeAm.HCl)
3. Rxn: Safrole -(Wacker Oxidation(PdCl2+Benzoquinone))-> MDP2P
4. Distillation: of Reaction contents to yield pure MDP2P
5. Rxn: MDP2P -(Al/Hg Amalgam (MeAm.HCl) -> MDMA oil
6. Crystallization: (MDMA oil + HCl in IPA/Xylene) (anhydrous conditions).

Chemical Names: MDMA; 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine; Ecstasy.
Formula: C11H15NO2
Molecular Weight: 193.2423 g

There are many different ways this drug can enter the bloodstream such injection, snorting and pill form as it enters the body the consumers brain increases the activity of Dopamine Norepinephrine and Serotonin. Over time the main effects of the drug affects there’s muscles, vision, aggressiveness, decreased appetite and their sleep.

MDMA affects 3 neurotransmitters as said above, this drug affects these neurotransmitters by making them react faster. Some neurons actually become so speed up that they become active without something actually happening. This is why why the user would react aggressively even though nothing actually happened. And the brain becomes so full of messages from the other parts of the body that the user can’t fall asleep. And this can also affect their appetite, mood and to feel pain.

Discussion

This drug appears to mainly affect the user’s emotions and sleep. For emotions this is not a good thing to affect mainly to communication with other humans and communicating with others is a thing you have to do every day. And sleep is probity worse because of the fact is that without sleep you can slowly go to sleep without waking up, and this would affect your mood even more than just taking the drug itself.

Conclusion

This report is a little bit of information telling you what MDMA, contains how to make it what are the raw materials the chemical formula of this drug. And the question what does MDMA affect the brain and there for a user’s day to day life.
